Mercury L6 350-400 HP Verado Aluminum Anode Kit 8M0116589

Mercury Aluminum Anode Kit 8M0116589 is sold under the Quicksilver brand, Mercury Marine's line of replacement parts and accessories. This complete kit is designed to replace the factory-installed aluminum anodes on the transom bracket and gearcase of select L6 Verado outboards.

Compatible with the following:

• Mercury 350 HP L6 Verado
• Select Mercury 350-400 HP L6 Verado applications
• Select Pro Verado and Racing L6 applications with the applicable gearcase

The aluminum anodes provide sacrificial corrosion protection for aluminum and stainless steel engine components and are suitable for freshwater or saltwater use. Anodes should be inspected periodically and replaced when significant corrosion or pitting is present. They should never be painted, as doing so prevents them from providing proper corrosion protection.
