Mercury Racing Extreme Performance Gear Lube 8M0078016 is an SAE 85W-90 marine gear oil developed specifically for high-performance Mercury Racing outboard gearcases and sterndrive applications. The 5-gallon pail is ideal for servicing applications that require Mercury Racing gear lubricant.
Its Extreme Performance formulation is designed to provide protection under the high loads and temperatures found in racing and high-performance gearcases. Advanced emulsifiers help protect gears if water enters the gear housing, while tackifiers and pressure additives improve lubricant adhesion and help reduce excessive wear. The lubricant is also formulated to resist breakdown as gear temperatures increase.
