Mercury Electric Starter Conversion Kit 90983A5 is a genuine Mercury OEM kit designed to convert select manual-start Mercury and Mariner 2-stroke outboards to electric starting. The kit includes the starter components and alternator kit required for the engine-side conversion.

Compatible with the following:

• Select Mercury 6-25HP 2-stroke outboards
• Select Mariner 6-25HP 2-stroke outboards
• Various 1984 and newer applications
• Select Mercury 10HP XR / Magnum and Mariner Viking applications

This starter conversion kit must be used with the appropriate tiller handle electric harness kit or remote control electric harness kit, depending on the engine and control configuration. A start button, key switch, harness, or other related components may also be required to complete the conversion.
