Mercury 40-60 HP Basic Gearcase Housing 9760T42

Mercury Basic Gearcase Housing 9760T42 is a genuine Mercury OEM replacement gear housing used on select 40-60 HP outboards. It is supplied as the basic gear housing only, making it suitable for rebuilding a compatible lower unit when the existing internal components can be reused or replaced separately.

Compatible with select applications including:

• Mercury 40 HP FourStroke
• Mercury 50 HP FourStroke
• Mercury 60 HP FourStroke
• Select Mercury and Mariner 3-cylinder and 4-cylinder applications using this gear housing

This is the basic gearcase housing, not a complete gearcase assembly. Gears, propeller shaft, driveshaft, bearing carrier, bearings, seals, and other internal components are serviced separately according to the specific engine and gearcase configuration.

Mercury uses 9760T42 across multiple gearcase configurations, including the 1.83:1 gearcase found on select 40, 50, and 60 HP 4-cylinder FourStroke models.
