Mercury L6 Verado Long Complete Gearcase (Silver) 8M0228009

Mercury L6 Verado Long Complete Gearcase 8M0228009 is a genuine Mercury OEM replacement lower unit for select L6 Verado outboards. This assembly is the Long configuration with a silver finish. Mercury identifies the part as GC VER L SILVER.

This gearcase is designed for compatible Verado applications where the silver Long gearcase is specified. Mercury used several closely related Verado gearcases with different shaft lengths, rotations, gear ratios, and finishes, so the engine serial number should be used to verify the correct assembly before ordering.

This is the complete gearcase assembly, not a basic empty gearcase housing. It provides the assembled lower unit rather than an individual housing or internal service component.
