Mercury Thermostat and Poppet Valve Kit 14586A7 is an OEM cooling system service kit for select Mercury and Mariner V6 2-stroke outboards. The kit contains components used to service the thermostat and pressure-controlled poppet valve system responsible for regulating cooling-water flow through the engine.

Compatible with select Mercury and Mariner applications including:

• 135 HP V6 2-stroke
• 150 HP V6 2-stroke
• 175 HP V6 2-stroke
• 200 HP V6 2-stroke
• Select 2.0L and 2.4L V6 engines

The thermostat helps regulate engine temperature during normal operation, while the poppet valve controls cooling-water flow as engine speed and water pressure increase. Servicing both systems helps maintain proper cooling performance throughout the engine's operating range.
