Mercury Anode Kit (Magnesium), V12 Verado & SeaPro 8M0179982 is a genuine OEM replacement kit designed to protect compatible Mercury V12 outboards from galvanic corrosion in freshwater environments. This complete kit replaces all factory-installed sacrificial anodes to help protect critical underwater components from corrosion.
Compatible with the following:
- Mercury 7.6L V12 600HP Verado outboards
- Mercury 7.6L V12 500HP SeaPro outboards
This complete magnesium anode kit is manufactured to Mercury Marine's OEM specifications for proper fit and dependable corrosion protection. Magnesium anodes are recommended for freshwater use, where they provide more effective protection than aluminum or zinc anodes.
Inspect sacrificial anodes regularly and replace them when significant corrosion or material loss is present. Keeping fresh anodes installed helps extend the life of your outboard and reduce corrosion-related maintenance.
