Mercury Corrosion Guard Engine Protect 8M0172754 is sold under the Quicksilver brand, Mercury Marine's line of marine maintenance products and accessories. This spray-on rust inhibitor forms a long-lasting, water-resistant barrier to protect painted and unpainted metal surfaces in harsh marine environments.

Designed specifically for areas regularly exposed to moisture and humidity, Engine Protect can be applied to outboard powerheads and under-cowl components, MerCruiser inboard and sterndrive engines, electrical components, connections, and other metal surfaces.

The clear protective film dries quickly to the touch without leaving a heavy, gummy coating, making it well suited for repeated use as part of routine corrosion protection. It can also help displace moisture when starting wet engines and penetrate existing rust to help loosen seized components.
